Overnight Accommodations

Included with registration is primitive group campsites. These areas will have access to bathhouses with showers and restrooms along with additional port-o-potties. Campsites do not have hookups, but charging station(s) will be made available to charge devices.

For riders looking to have more amenities, we have overnight accommodations set aside for BRAT riders at both parks.

Natchez Trace – Checking in Friday, September 9 and checking out Tuesday, September 13.

After breakfast at Natchez Trace on Tuesday morning, travel in personal vehicle to Henry Horton on Tuesday, September 13.

Henry Horton – Checking in Tuesday, September 13, and checking out Thursday, September 15.

Cabins

Natchez Trace State Park

The cabins are situated near Pin Oak Lake and Brown’s Creek Lake. Cabin guests can enjoy a multitude of trails through the forest and fields and along the lakeshores and streams of Natchez Park. The park offers activities for cabin visitors of all ages such as swimming, boating, biking, fishing, and horseback riding. Hunting and ATV riding is accessible nearby on WMA land. In addition, the cabin visitors have access to the museum, picnic facilities, gift shops, and the park’s restaurant located inside the Lodge at Natchez Trace. Whatever your adventure, you are sure to find it at the Natchez Trace cabins.

Henry Horton State Park

On the shores of the historic Duck River, Henry Horton State Park cabin rentals are located in one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. Visitors can enjoy several activities on the estate of the former governor of Tennessee, Henry Horton, such as guided river floats, biking, golfing, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Cabin guests can also rent shelters and pavilions for group events or gatherings. In addition, the Henry Horton cabins are closely located to park eateries including The Restaurant and Lounge. Great for the whole family, Henry Horton cabins are the perfect place to enjoy the beauty and history of Middle Tennessee.

RV Camping and Tent Sites

Natchez Trace

Natchez Trace State Park offers a variety of camping options spread across multiple camping areas. The closest campground to the BRAT Basecamp is Pin Oak Campground.

PIN OAK CAMPGROUND

Nightly rates vary based on date and availability.

The Pin Oak campground has 77 sites, 2 bathhouses, 50 amp electric, sewer and water hookups. The campground is located on the shore of Pin Oak Lake and can accommodate RVs up to 80 feet in length. The RV camp also offers a swimming beach, playground, picnic shelter, camping cabins and boat dock. While this campground is open year-round, some campsites close after December 1.  Campers should be aware that there is very limited, if any, cell service available in the Pin Oak campground area.

Henry Horton

No matter your preferred style of camping, you’ll find it at Henry Horton State Park. The park offers RV, tent, hammock, backcountry sites. A large group tent campsite is also available. The RV campsites can also be booked by tent campers and are equipped with water and electric hookups, while the tent-only sites do not offer hookups. The hammock campground offers a unique experience with the ideal trees to set up your home for the night. If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous, the backcountry sites are only a 1.5-mile hike in, perfect for beginners. All campsites except for backcountry sites come with a grill, picnic table, and fire ring. Two bathhouses are available seasonally and one remains open during the winter to accommodate tents and small campers without self-contained facilities. 

Campsites are limited to six people and two vehicles maximum. Only two tents or an RV and one tent allowed on campsites.

Natchez Trace

The Lodge at Natchez Trace sits on scenic Pin Oak Lake just a few miles off I-40 between Jackson, Tennessee and Nashville. Henry Horton

The Lodge at Henry Horton is a perfect getaway destination for travelers along I-65 between Huntsville and Nashville. Located within Henry Horton State Park, visitors will enjoy golfing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, skeet shooting and more during their visit.

The Lodge at Henry Horton offers multiple room types, including:

Double Beds – 2 Full Beds

This is a standard room with two double beds and a private balcony. All rooms include a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, and complimentary bath products. A handicap-accessible room option is available. 

Double Beds – 2 Full Beds

This is a generously sized room with two double beds and a private balcony situated in a motel style section just off of the lodge. All rooms include a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, and complimentary bath products. Rooms in this section also include a mini fridge and microwave. A handicap-accessible room option is available. 

King

This is a standard room with one king bed and a private balcony and outdoor furniture. A handicap-accessible king suite is also available. All rooms include a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, and complimentary bath products.
