Basecamp 2 – Cedars of Lebanon State Park

 

 

Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located in Wilson County and is surrounded by the Cedars of Lebanon State Forest. The park is named for eastern red cedar trees found throughout the arena. The Assembly Hall will serve as our Basecamp at the park and location of our free camping.

Overnight Accommodations:

 

Cabins:

Cedars of Lebanon has a variety of cabins available on-site. There are two-bedroom cabins that accommodate up to six people, fully furnished with a complete kitchen, living area, and one bathroom. There is a queen-sized bed downstairs, a queen-sized bed upstairs, and a queen-sized bed in the loft. There is also a Historic cabin with its rustic log cabin look, tucked in the trees and featuring a cozy setup, so you won’t be disappointed! The Ricketts Historical Cabin, built in the 1930s, accommodates two people in a single common room featuring a king-size bed, chairs, a TV, an electric log fireplace, a full kitchen, and a bathroom equipped with all necessary amenities for comfort.  For cabins, call the Park Office at 615-443-2769 and mention BRAT to reserve your cabin!

 


RV and Tent Camping:

The park features a total of 117 campsites across three designated camping areas. All sites have picnic tables, grills, and electric and water hookups. Three bathhouses provide hot showers and bathrooms. There is a dumping station for self-contained camping rigs. WiFi is available, and firewood and ice are sold onsite. The laundromat and camp store are open year-round. Please note: In Area 1, sites 1-24; 32, 36-40; 45 are 20-, 50-amp. Sites 25-31; 33-35 and 41-44 are 30-, 50-amp.

Tennessee State Parks campgrounds are pet-friendly, but all pets must be kept on a leash.

The BRAT has designated campsites for cyclists. To make a reservation, please call the campstore Sunday through Thursday at 615-453-3031 and mention BRAT.


Free Camping: Riders do not need to make reservations for this. Camping will be located near the basecamp. This is considered primitive camping as there are limited electric outlets, restrooms, and a shower truck.

Q: Are there Washers and Dryers on-site?

A: NYes, at the Camp Store.

 

Q: Is there a pool at the park?

A: No, but the Hotel we have partnered with does have a saltwater pool that paying guests can utilize.

 

Q: Is there a restaurant on-site?

A: No, but there are a variety of local restaurants within 20 minutes of the park.

 

Q: How do I make reservations for the campground?

A: The BRAT has designated campsites for cyclists. To make a reservation, please call the campstore Sunday through Thursday at 615-453-3031 and mention BRAT.

 

Q: What nights will we be staying at David Crockett State Park and Cedars of Lebanon State Park?

A: If you are 6 day rider, you can arrive to DCSP as early as September 11th and you will leave the morning of Tuesday, September 15th after you eat breakfast at DCSP. If you are doing the last 3 days of the ride (September 15-17), you can arrive to Cedars of Lebanon as early as Monday, September 14th and you will be served breakfast at CLSP on Tuesday, September 15th. Everyone will be leaving on Thursday, September 17th.

Q: What time does the ride start on the transition day (September 15th)?

A: Cyclists are welcome to start their ride as early as 8 am and must be on the route by 11am.
