Basecamp 2 – Cumberland Mountain State Park
The cabins at Cumberland Mountain State Park transport visitors back in time. With an assortment of cabin types to choose from, we are sure you will find one that fits your needs. The entire park exists as a testament to the beauty and architectural achievements of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Visitors will enjoy the way Byrd Lake forms the central feature of the park. In Areas 2, 3, and 5, tents are not allowed on the grass. Picnic tables, grills, and bathhouse facilities are also provided. Seven adults are allowed to camp at each site. Sites may have two tents or one tent and one camper.
Tennessee State Parks campgrounds are pet-friendly, but all pets must be kept on a leash.
Call the visitor center at 931-484-6138 and mention BRAT to reserve your RV or tent campsite!
Free Camping: Riders do not need to make reservations for this. Camping will be located near the basecamp. This is considered primitive camping as there are limited electric outlets, restrooms, and a shower truck.
