Basecamp 1 – David Crockett State Park

David Crockett State Park located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, has a deep history tied back to the pioneer, David Crockett. The 1,319 – acre park has a restaurant where our Basecamp will be located, a large campground, scenic vistas of Shoal creek and Crockett falls, Lake Lindsey, and so much more!
Cabins: SOLD OUT RV and Tent Camping: The David Crockett State Park Campground is conveniently located just minutes away from the basecamp area at the park. If you wish to reserve an RV or tent site at the campground, please call the park at 931-903-2323 and mention that you are with the BRAT, and they will take your reservation. Please note that if you plan to take advantage of the free camping, you do not need to make reservations with the park. Free Camping: Riders do not need to make reservations for this. Camping will be located around the Restaurant basecamp. This is considered primitive camping as there are limited electric outlets, restrooms, and showers on-site. This area is within walking distance of the Restaurant, with the option to car camp or tent camp. There is plenty of flat ground for everyone to set up camp. Hotels Nearby: If camping isn’s for you, you are in luck! We have secured room blocks at 3 local hotels near the park. David Crockett State Park – FAQ Q: Are there Washers and Dryers on-site? A: No, but there are two local Laundromats in town: Beck’s Laundry Basket and Wish Washy Q: Is there a pool at the park? A: No, but we are working with the local community to find a pool you all can enjoy. Q: What time will the Restaurant and bar be open? A: TBD Q: Where can I find the David Crockett State Park Restaurant Menu? A: You can find it HERE. Q: What nights will we be staying at David Crockett State Park and Cedars of Lebanon State Park? A: If you are 6 day rider, you can arrive to DCSP as early as September 11th and you will leave the morning of Tuesday, September 15th after you eat breakfast at DCSP. If you are doing the last 3 days of the ride (September 15-17), you can arrive to Cedars of Lebanon as early as Monday, September 14th and you will be served breakfast at CLSP on Tuesday, September 15th. Everyone will be leaving Cedars of Lebanon on Thursday, September 17th. Q: What time does the ride start on the transition day (September 15th)? A: Cyclists are welcome to start their ride as early as 8 am and must be on the route by 11am.
